Mia is the name chosen by designer Federica Bubani for this unusual lighting fixture. The lamp is composed of two conical elements: the first cone forms the base on which the second one stands, that can be moved around according to the atmosphere desired. Through Mia, which is the Italian word for Mine, the designer’s purpose was to communicate the extent to which the cone can be moved around at will, involving and creating a bond with the user, thus personalising the lamp and make it feel one's own. The lamp has a very contemporary, youthful feel and represents a perfect blend of modern and traditional design. The collection is made up of one table lamp for indoor use. The structure is in natural white ceramic, matt on the outside and polished on the inside, with the special power cable covered in woven fabric. The lamp runs on mains power and is suitable for use with halogen and fluorescent bulbs.
